About Us

How we got started...

Who We Are

The Sasaki Behavioral Group (SBG, formerly the Reilly Behavioral Group) was established in 2009. Our new identity better reflects our commitment to client-centered care and excellence through diversity. SBG delivers individualized and developmentally appropriate programs based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). SBG approaches treatment/education holistically to help people attain behavioral health, meaningful outcomes, and quality of life. SBG is proud to work with dedicated and highly skilled clinicians. More than a team, we are a family, dedicated to supporting each other to grow professionally and as humans.

SBG is a California-certified non-public agency (NPA) and a member of the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP). SBG is in network with major health insurance carriers (Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield/Magellan, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Kaiser Permanente/BHPN, United Healthcare/Optum). SBG works with local school districts to provide IEP assessment and services, as well as independent educational evaluations (IEE’s).

Our Core Values

All individuals have the right to…

Behavioral Health

ABA targets observable, measurable behaviors that contribute to physical and mental well-being, optimal functioning in everyday life, and positive concept of self. People respond to the environment (behavior); ABA provides opportunities to learn in specific, observable ways that lead to desired outcomes (health).

Meaningful Outcomes

Based on individuals’ preferences, skills, and abilities. Measurable health, education, and well-being improvements are gained through individualized treatment and education that maximizes individual potential, with terminal goals of being included and valued in/by the community.

Quality of Life (QoL)

QoL is the degree to which people feel healthy, comfortable, and enjoy participating in life events in the context of their culture and value systems. QoL is the intersection of physical health, mental and emotional well-being, independence, relationships with others, and the environment.

How do we obtain these goals?

Treat/Teach in Context

Our team helps individuals develop and practice skills in the setting(s) they are likely to be needed, used, and reinforced.

Compassionate Care

Empathic listening, acknowledgment, then reciprocal action to alleviate clients' and caregivers' distress, suffering, or concerns.

Behavioral Artistry

More than mere tool users guided by strict adherence to protocols, our team of behavioral artists incorporate person-centered interpersonal and communication skills to maximize their technical skills.

Progressive ABA

Programs continuously assess preferences, abilities, and needs in the moment, rooted in flexible decision-making and sound clinical judgment.

Humble Behaviorism

Collaboration, critical self-reflection, and recognition that interdependence with other professions strengthens the science and practice of behavior analysis.

Our approach to tx is rooted in a broader context – JEDIH Mission

Social Justice

Social justice is the process and goal of equitable fairness, safety, rights, and opportunities in society for all its members.

Equity

People have different circumstances and need varying levels of support to achieve greater fairness of optimal outcomes.

Diversity

Diversity makes each of us unique and includes our cultural background, heritage, personality, life experiences, and beliefs.

Inclusion

Inclusion is a fair, equitable, healthy, and optimal community for all individuals, in which they are engaged, respected, and valued.

Cultural Humility

A lifelong goal and process of learning, self-awareness of personal and cultural biases, sensitivity to others' cultural issues, and self-reflection in a sincere attempt to understand others' identities.
